About Me
That's me on the right with my wife and kids. I have been chasing butterflies with a net since I was a kid and got more serious about it in my 30's as a collector. I spent most my life as a professional musician and have 6 records under my belt. Best band, Powersurge. Now I'm retired from music and work as a web designer and part time artist in my Florida home. I have always been artistic and an observer and collector of nature and its trinkets. I collected rocks, butterflies, beetles, fossils, shells, arrowheads, orchids, drift-wood and everything else you can think of. My yards full of exotic plants and flowers. I also for awhile made custom terrariums for two well known pet stores in Tampa, the Snake Pit & Reef & Reptile. I had first created some for my collection of Poison Arrow frogs. My terrariums were so beautiful and functional that the stores supplied me with new Lizard Lounge terrariums for me to take and create custom waterfalls, ponds, and landscape them. I created falls from Styro-foam, boat resin and sand. I used Tampa Bay driftwood and arranged them with various rocks and plants and delivered them as finished work. It was in many ways similar to the art I do now, only with live creatures. It all one day fell into place when I put a butterfly and stem of dried flowers into a frame as a birthday present for my wife. That little frame looked so great, that I started combining butterflies and flowers into frames and it eventually turned into the evolved art form I create today.

While I'm at it, as I said above I'm a web designer. If you like this website and would like to have one of your own, contact me and we can talk about that too!
